Kuip Limited ("we", "us", "our") operates the soulMates mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive profile information such as your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. If you sign up with email and password, our authentication provider processes your credentials and we receive your account email address and account identifier.
Profile Information
We store your display name, avatar, account tier, and your acceptance of the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and community safety rules.
Music and Matching Data
We collect information about how you interact with music in the App, including swipes, likes, dislikes, saved tracks, inferred music preference signals, and compatibility scores used for matching.
Chat and Feedback Data
We collect emoji reactions, curated track shares, and feedback messages sent to our team through the Feedback room. We also collect report and block events used to improve safety and control discovery.
Device and Notification Data
We may collect device type, operating system version, push notification tokens, and local cache metadata needed to run the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account
- To build your music personality profile and suggest compatible users
- To enable limited in-app messaging and feedback delivery
- To send push notifications about matches and messages
- To enforce safety controls such as blocking, reporting, and discovery suppression
- To improve the App and develop new features
3. Data Storage and Local Caching
Your account information, music profile, and moderation data are stored on our backend services. The App also caches music catalog data, swipe data, and chat data locally on your device for performance.
Chat data is also stored locally on your device in a per-user local database so multiple accounts on the same device remain isolated from each other.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:
- Other users: your display name, avatar, and compatibility score may be visible to matched users.
- Service providers: we use third-party providers for authentication, backend infrastructure, and push delivery.
5. Safety and Moderation
We use block and report signals to hide users from each other, reduce spam, and remove repeatedly reported users from discovery. We may review feedback, reports, and related account metadata to investigate abuse, impersonation, or misuse of the service.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and profile data for as long as your account remains active. Local caches remain on your device until they are cleared by the App, removed by signing out, or removed when the App is deleted.
If you delete your account in the App, we will remove the associated account data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or needed for legitimate safety, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your personal data, or to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and may notify you in the App if the changes are material.
